Small Business Development Center
The Maryland Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) is a partnership
between the State of Maryland, the U.S. Small Business Administration, business and
industry, local government, universities, community colleges, and professional
associations.
The Maryland SBDC builds on the diversity and experience of each resource in the network
to benefit aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The purpose is to provide
comprehensive management and technical assistance to Maryland’s small business
community. Each sub-center and satellite office serves as the focal point for
combining federal, state, and local government resources with those of the private
sector to counsel and train aspiring and existing small businesses to resolve
organizational, financial marketing technical, regulatory, and other issues they
might encounter.
A Maryland SBDC satellite office is housed at Cecil College's North East
campus. A counselor is available to individuals seeking management or technical
assistance with establishing or managing a small business. In additon to individual
counseling, seminars and courses are regularly scheduled to benefit aspiring and
established entrepreneurs.
A SBDC Counselor is available by appointment
