The Young People's Theatre Program offers process-focused theatre experiences for
children ages 2 to 18. Students are encouraged to become actively involved in all phases
of a full-scale theatrical production, while learning the basic skills necessary to participate
in community theatre.

Curtain Call – Without Strings
An adaptation of Carlo Callodi’s classic Pinocchio. Your favorite puppet story gets a modern renovation.
Carl, an angry an lonely teenager, has left home and seeks out work with the enigmatic Professor Pinecone and his marionette troupe.
Carl becomes Pinocchio in the play-within-a-play and encounters our familiar cast of characters along his travels.
Students will learn techniques for endeavoring their acting careers as well as have tons of fun with kids that share their same passion.
From the front curtain to what goes on in the recesses of back stage, learn the art of theatre. Performers will act
on stage, create their own costumes, design the set and learn the technical aspects of performance production. Join us for Curtain Call.

Places Everyone – The Secret Garden
The literary classic is coming alive on stage! Mary Lennox, known as a difficult child, is sent
to live at her uncle’s estate after her parents pass away. Misselthwaite Manor turns out to be a gloomy fortress.
Her uncle is rarely home, and his young son Colin never leaves his room. To her surprise, Mary discovers a strange
walled garden that has been locked up for years. With the assistance of Dickon, the gardener’s apprentice,
Mary brings the garden back to life. You will work in front of the lights and behind them to bring this play to life.
Costumes, set design, blocking and technical aspects of producing a play will be exciting parts of this experience.
Ages: 7-12
