Position:	PT Child Development Aide/Assistant
Department:	Family Education Center
Hours:	Part time, 30 hours per week
Salary Grade:	5
Pay Rate:	$9.00/hr
General Duties:	The Child Development Aide/Assistant is responsible for assisting with the safety, care, education and well-being of children under the supervision of the Child Development Teacher. The Child Development Assistant helps to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and maintain classrooms, equipment and supplies to best meet the needs of the infants, toddlers and parents.
Requirements:	High School Diploma or Equivalency. 90 hour Principles of Early Childhood required. Experience in a nursery or day-care setting preferred but not required. Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check. Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within three (3) months of hire. Negative TB screen and HEPB series or waiver. Must obtain CDA within one (1) year of hire.
