Math Lab

Located in Room 410 of the Arts and Sciences Building, the Math Lab provides free tutoring for students experiencing difficulties in mathematics. For more information, please call 410-287-1015.

The Reading and Writing Lab

Located in Room 342 of the Arts and Sciences Building, the Reading and Writing Lab seeks to help students at all levels of ability to improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Professional tutors are available at a variety of days and times to work one-on-one with students in a comfortable, friendly environment. In addition to the on-campus Reading and Writing Lab, the Lab offers online tutoring at http://cecil.askonline.net

The Reading and Writing Lab works with students on all aspects of written communications - purpose, content, audience, organization, citation, and grammar and mechanics - in both humanities and science classes. Lab tutors also provide support for second language learners, as well as assistance with non-course writing, including resumes, cover letters, and scholarship applications. Students are encouraged to make the Reading and Writing Lab part of their writing process.

Additionally, the Lab offers professional consultations and directed instruction for students interested in improving their learning skills, including time management, listening and note-taking, concentration and memory building, test-taking, text reading, vocabulary development and other skill areas.
