About the CDL Program
The trucking industry continues to be strong in the country with job growth expected to continue to grow through 2030. At Cecil College, we have been helping people get high paying jobs in the trucking industry since 1984. You will receive the comprehensive training you need to join the trucking industry with job security, great pay and benefits.
The total cost of the CDL A is $5,045 (MD state residents) and the CDL B course is $2,200 (MD state residents). Tuition for each program covers the student’s Department of Transportation physical, permit fees, Department of Transportation drug screen, books, training to meet standards of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and final testing. Out of state students are welcome.
Class A and B Commercial Driver's License
Obtain your CDL A in either a weekday or evening/weekend program. This 300 hour course is delivered in two convenient formats in either 8 or 10 weeks. Or go for your CDL B license in 13 days. Our premiere training school located in North East, Maryland serves to train students from all over the tri-state area. We are approved for GI Bill® funding as well as other possible financial aid options.

Licensure Requirements
Students who successfully complete a course or program requirements for CDL A or B will be eligible to test for CDL licensure onsite with licensed examiners. Out of state students will also test onsite for the CDL License.
