Cecil College sponsors 55+ Expo

ELKTON, Md. – Cecil College and the Cecil County Department of Community Services are sponsoring the 17th annual 55+ Healthy Lifestyle Expo on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elkton High School, 110 James Street. The $8 price of admission includes access to the vendor hall, workshops, lunch, door prizes, and health screenings.
The daylong event features networking opportunities with community resource representatives, vendors, and specialty services. Topics include home repair, Medicare, health insurance, financial planning, wellness, and much more.
This year’s wellness panel discussions include: “4 Driver Safety Programs,” “Brain Health: Nutrition – the Basics,” “Medicare 101,” “Peace of Mind, The Acute Loss Period,” “Researching your Family History,” “Skin Care as we Age,” “The Eight Things every Caregiver Should be doing from a Planning Perspective,” “Top 10 Dietitian Tips,” “Travel Itineraries and Travel money saving Ideas Abound,” “Veteran’s Burial Benefits,” “Vinegar, Borax, and Beyond!,” and “What is a Trust Agreement and do I need it?,” Additionally, individuals seeking fitness advice may participate in workshops like Back to Basics, Line Dancing and Tai Chi for Arthritis.
