NORTH EAST, Md. – For more than 20 years, the Cecil Leadership Institute has provided individuals with the framework where existing and emerging leaders in small and large businesses, county government (departments and organizations), not-for-profit, and tourism engagement, collaborate and commit to Cecil County’s ongoing development.

With more than 465 graduates from the program, the Cecil Leadership Institute (CLI) is now accepting applications for the Class of 2023. Sponsored by Cecil College and the Cecil County Office of Economic Development, the deadline to register for the 2023 Cecil Leadership Institute is January 17, 2023.

The Class of 2023 will begin in February, meeting on consecutive Thursdays through May. The CLI sessions are at various businesses and organizations throughout Cecil County, where participants grow their skills and talents, connect with community leaders, and develop the traits to be successful.

This unique learning opportunity introduces participants to diverse perspectives on growth and prosperity issues. There is more than 75 hours of instruction over 30 sessions throughout the program.

Along with developing and advancing their leadership skills, CLI graduates increase their professional networks, are introduced to innovative thought leaders within Cecil County to learn their management styles, and practice critical thinking. Each week, a new local leader provides an in-depth look at the inner workings of their organization.

Cecil Leadership Institute is managed by Cecil College’s Division of Career and Community Education.
